One of Vital’s many project, The Mudflat Crew is a comic book written and illustrated by Pietro Leddi (aka Rullampo). It follows the journey of a group of friends exploring the Venetian lagoon on the hunt for a mysterious treasure. All the characters are based on local fauna – the protagonists are lagunar water birds – or mythological creatures.
The publication, made primarily for children, features a Glossary and a Character Sheet with scientific information about the lagoon and the animal species featured in the story.
