This project aims to boost the Venetian Lagoon’s natural ability to capture carbon dioxide and protect biodiversity by investing in improving the science and methods of restoring the characteristic salt marshes. Commercial partners are invited to counterbalance the impacts of productive activities by contributing to regenerating the local ecology. Vital aspires to create a model for other coastal heritage sites by mitigating the effects of climate change and protecting the city of Venice.
