“The air gets colder, the daylight slips,
summer fades as the temperature dips.
A little less sun, a little more night,
sweet strange sounds to make winter feel right.
As colder days begin to stir,
turn up the tunes and sink into the BLUR.”
As the leaves turn orange-brown and start to fall, we’re welcoming the first fresh breeze in months, at least here in northern Italy. After a long, punishing summer, with relief we notice the air turning damp, the familiar fog seeping in, infiltrating the Venetian mornings and nights.
To mark the arrival of the new season, our trusted playlist curator Alba Maria Faggionato has delivered a new selection—a glamorous, sophisticated mix spanning Italo disco, synth-pop and Balearic, with some post-punk gems, too. Laguna BLUR gives Milano da bere—dense breath puffs on a cold, neon-illuminated night; long cigarettes lit in the mist, and one too many martini in hand: a fantasy that I, personally, absolutely want to indulge in while preparing for winter.
